Farewell to a Pillar of the Community: Madam Jane Muthoni Ireri Laid to Rest in Kairuri

Ruguru Ngandori Ward, Embu County – The community of Kairuri gathered in solemn tribute as they laid to rest one of their most respected elders, Madam Jane Muthoni Ireri, a devoted Christian, a development-minded leader, and a tireless servant of the people.
Madam Muthoni was remembered as a hardworking and selfless matriarch whose life was defined by service, faith, and dedication to the wellbeing of her community. Her passing marks the end of an era for the residents of Ruguru Ngandori Ward and beyond.

She was best known for her leadership in grassroots development. As Chair of the Runga Irrigation Water Project, she played a vital role in empowering local farmers through sustainable access to water, significantly improving agricultural productivity in the area. Her vision and commitment were instrumental in transforming livelihoods across the region.
In her church, she was equally a pillar — faithfully serving as the Chairlady of the Catholic Women Association (CWA) at Kairuri Catholic Parish. Her deep faith, wisdom, and nurturing spirit made her a guiding light for many women and families in the parish.
Leaders, clergy, friends, and family eulogized her as a resourceful woman of strength and substance, one who consistently championed unity, development, and the values of hard work and compassion. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched and the projects she helped bring to life.
As we bid farewell to Madam Jane Muthoni Ireri, we celebrate a life well-lived — one that embodied grace, purpose, and unwavering dedication to God and community.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
