Hon. Gitonga Mukunji Hands Over New Administration Block at St. Mark’s Rutune Primary School

In yet another milestone for Manyatta Constituency’s education sector, Hon. Gitonga Mukunji officially handed over a newly constructed administration block at St. Mark’s Rutune Primary School in Nginda Ward. The facility is set to greatly improve the working environment for the school’s leadership and staff, replacing the old wooden staffroom.

The new administration block will host offices for the headteacher, deputy headteacher, senior teacher, clerks, and a spacious staffroom for teachers. This upgrade is part of an ongoing effort to improve school infrastructure, ensuring that educators have a conducive environment to facilitate quality learning.

We recognize the crucial role that teachers play in shaping our children’s future. By providing them with better facilities, we are not only improving their working conditions but also motivating them to deliver quality education,” said Hon. Gitonga Mukunji during the event.

The project was made possible through funding from the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), reinforcing the government’s commitment to strengthening educational institutions at the grassroots level.

Madam Elizabeth Kutundu from the NG-CDF Board in Nairobi, who was also present, commended the initiative, highlighting that such infrastructure projects contribute significantly to the overall performance and morale of both teachers and students.

Hon. Mukunji reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that schools in Manyatta Constituency receive the necessary support to thrive. “This is just the beginning. We will continue working on similar projects across the constituency to ensure that all schools have the facilities they need to provide quality education,” he added.

The handover of the administration block marks a significant step toward educational improvement in the region, demonstrating the power of targeted investments in school infrastructure. With enhanced facilities, St. Mark’s Rutune Primary School is now better equipped to support its educators and students in achieving academic excellence.
