LEADERSHIP CONSULTATIONS HELD WITH H.E. RIGATHI GACHAGUA ON EMBU’S FUTURE ROLE IN NATIONAL POLITICS

Wamunyoro, Kenya – In a significant political engagement, consultations were held with the Second Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, at his Wamunyoro residence, with a key focus on the upcoming Mbeere North Parliamentary by-election and the broader leadership landscape of Embu County.

The discussions covered a myriad of issues touching on governance, equitable development, and the strategic positioning of Embu in the national leadership structure. With the Mbeere North seat set for contest, emphasis was placed on ensuring that the next leadership reflects the aspirations of the people and guarantees Embu’s rightful share in Kenya’s development agenda.

“Embu must play an integral part in the dispensation of the next leadership,” the delegation reiterated. “We must rise to claim our space, our voice, and our stake in the national conversation.”

H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, known for his grassroots engagement and advocacy for the economic empowerment of Mt. Kenya communities, expressed commitment to supporting inclusive leadership and ensuring that Embu is not left behind in the ongoing political and economic reforms.

As preparations for the Mbeere North by-election gather pace, stakeholders agreed on the importance of unity, clarity of vision, and issue-based politics. The goal is not just to fill a vacant seat—but to redefine representation and bring transformative leadership to the people of Mbeere and Embu at large.
