St. Joseph Ndunda Primary School Project Earns Praise from NG-CDF Board Chairman

Nginda Ward, Manyatta Constituency – A major milestone in the transformation of St. Joseph Ndunda Primary School was marked this week as Hon. John Alago Alouch, Chairman of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board, led a high-profile team from Nairobi in inspecting the ongoing construction of a two-storey building at the institution.
The visit, which attracted local education stakeholders, community leaders, and government officials, underscored the significant strides being made under the NG-CDF initiative in the education sector within Manyatta Constituency.

Hon. Alago commended the constituency’s leadership for their commitment to improving education infrastructure. “What we’re witnessing here is a shining example of how NG-CDF can be used effectively to bring about tangible change. From the purchase of land to the ongoing construction works, the progress is commendable,” he said.
St. Joseph Ndunda Primary School, located in Nginda Ward, has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. For over two decades, the school operated under difficult conditions, with pupils learning in wooden structures since its founding in 1998. The current construction project, which includes modern classrooms and administrative offices, aims to provide a conducive and dignified learning environment for both students and teachers.
The NG-CDF Board Chairman noted that the development at St. Joseph Ndunda is part of a broader effort by the Manyatta NG-CDF team to enhance public education infrastructure. He highlighted the project as a model of successful community-led planning and resource utilization.
During the inspection, Hon. Alago also lauded the constituency for receiving a clean bill of health regarding the management and utilization of NG-CDF funds. “Manyatta has demonstrated that transparency and accountability are not just ideals, but achievable standards. The prudent use of public funds here assures us that every shilling is making a difference where it matters most,” he remarked.
Local leaders expressed their gratitude to the NG-CDF Board for the continued support, pledging to sustain the momentum and ensure timely completion of the project. Area residents, many of whom have witnessed the school’s evolution firsthand, welcomed the development with optimism and pride.
The project at St. Joseph Ndunda Primary School stands as a testament to the transformative power of well-managed public resources and the unwavering commitment of leaders to secure a brighter future for the next generation.
