Supporting Recovery: Visit to Cynert Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre

In a continued effort to support individuals battling addiction, a visit was made this morning to Cynert Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre in Mutunduri to check on the progress of Charles Njagi, popularly known as Slim 254, a talented musician, and John Kibe, an economist. The two had reached out to Hon. Gitonga Mukunji ,assistance in joining a rehabilitation program, and today, their recovery journey stands as a beacon of hope.

Both Njagi and Kibe have been facing challenges with drug addiction, a struggle that has impacted their personal and professional lives. However, through dedicated rehabilitation and counseling, they are showing remarkable progress in their journey toward sobriety.

During the visit, words of encouragement were shared with the recovering individuals, reinforcing the importance of resilience and determination in overcoming addiction. The visit also provided an opportunity to interact with other patients at the facility, offering them support and motivation as they undergo treatment.

“The journey to recovery is not easy, but with the right support system, determination, and professional guidance, a new beginning is always possible,” Hon. Mukunnji said

Cynert Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre has been at the forefront of addiction treatment and mental health support, providing comprehensive services that include medical intervention, psychological counseling, and life skills training. The facility continues to play a crucial role in transforming lives and reintegrating individuals back into society as productive members.

The visit underscored the importance of community involvement in rehabilitation efforts and the need to fight the stigma surrounding addiction.
