Nginda Ward, Embu – The community of Nginda Ward and beyond has bid a solemn farewell to one of its most industrious and enterprising young men, Alexander Gitonga Gicovi, fondly known as Tosh. His final resting place is at his family home in Kamavindi, where relatives, friends, and members of the community gathered to pay their last respects.

Tosh was more than just a name; he was a symbol of dedication, hard work, and resilience. He was widely known for his unwavering commitment to providing for his family and contributing positively to society. As a boda boda rider, he diligently ferried passengers across Embu town, ensuring that people reached their destinations safely and efficiently. But his entrepreneurial spirit did not stop there—Tosh also owned and managed a hotel and an ice cream shop in Embu town, ventures that earned him admiration and respect among his peers and customers alike.

Beyond his business endeavors, Tosh was a family man whose love and dedication to his loved ones were evident in everything he did. His efforts to create a better future for his family reflected his strong values and work ethic. Those close to him describe him as kind-hearted, ambitious, and always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Tosh was also a staunch supporter of the Kujituma Ideologies, a movement that encourages self-reliance, hard work, and innovation among young people. His commitment to these principles inspired many youths in Embu to pursue their dreams and work towards self-sufficiency.

The outpouring of grief and tributes from friends, colleagues, and the community underscores the deep impact Tosh had on those around him. His loss is not only felt by his immediate family but also by the countless individuals who benefited from his kindness, hard work, and dedication.

As we lay him to rest, we celebrate a life well-lived—one that was full of purpose, determination, and love. Though his physical presence will be missed, his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
